Current Service Status

It is now clear that Amazon have still to resolve their challenges within the Virginia facilities, where the single Trovus box remains hidden from us. The latest post from them seems to indicate that they are bringing back access but are having to manage the process carefully due to their own volume demands, so as not to undo the work they have already done.

Clear from both Trovus customer and Trovus perspectives, we have a single objective of bringing access back as soon as possible and then to fully understand what happened and what Amazon is doing to ensure it does not happen again.

We quote from Amazon as at 05.11 AM BST - "The team has been completely focused on restoring access to all customers and as such has not yet been able to focus on performing a complete post mortem. Once all our customers have been taken care of and are fully back up and running, we will give a detailed account of what has happened, along with the corrective actions we are taking to ensure it doesn’t happen again."

Trovus itself is clearly working to try to resolve this itself as well.

We are pleased to hear from amazon that more clients are reporting access to their infrastructure. As yet we have be en unable to do so but keep trying. To reiterate what is happening to Trovus is that users can not see the log in page. All data is still being collected and processed.

We have maintained our watch over night and it remains frustrating that Amazon have not reported more progress. As w e can not access one box which gives us the ability to give users access to the site, we remain off line. We continue to monitor the situtation and as soon as Amazon get on top of their problems, Trovus will be back on line.
21/04/2011 @ 23:43:
We maintain our monitoring of the situation and reiterate that the ability of the Trovus solution to collect and pro cess intelligence is not impacted by this situation.
