Keep up the momentum and stay ahead of the pack
In his December leader column, editor Gareth Jones stresses how far digital marketing has come on since the first banner ads.
Developments have been huge over the past 14 years and 2009 will be no different: we will see demand for greater measuremnt of marketing effectiveness across all channels.
Brands will have to get to grips with understanding consumers' online behavioural patterns to inform focused marketing activity. This will involve knowing exactly what response their messages are getting and tailoring their marketing activity accordingly. This year doesn't have to be tough for innovative thinkers who take the right steps.
