How did you get where you are today?

After studying for 2 years in Cornwall where I learned to surf, go to the beach and sometimes go to class.  After my HND I went to Plymouth College of art and design to get my full degree.  After this I moved to Norwich.   I worked as Store supervisor and then a medical screener.   So with work not at a peak I moved back to folks place to make my fortune in London.  I had a load of temp jobs.  Then I started working with a website called ice21.co.uk.  There I ran the site laced on content and aided the search engine rankings.  Then that was sold and I was put in touch with Caspar (who unlike Ed I thought he was some sort of super hero) Next thing I knew I was thrust head first until the Trovus world

What are you working on right now?

Right now I am in the middle of taken on board the new words from googles Matt Cutts.  As news of the latest update hits the ears and forums.  Helping to establish Trovus as a recognised leader in this field.  Like Ed trying to find something that will take up my spare time as I'm fed up with wasting what little I do have to myself.

Who or what has been the greatest influence on your career to date?

My lecturers in Cornwall Dave Farrance and David Whetcroft.  They placed the web bug in my head.  My last job gave me the skills I needed in order to get me here.  My mum and dad who placed the hard work ethic in my head and seems to have got me though everything.

What business do you most admire - and why?

Of all the business I would have to go for Apple.  Seeing as I'm one of those people who will not leave the house without my iPod glued to my ears  But just to think that 10 years ago they where disappearing into oblivion until one man went to them with a small plastic box and with the right exposure and clever marketing they are now cooler than cool.  That I just love Sega and Sinclair as well ah misspent youth

What aspect of your job do you find most satisfying?

I would have to say know that the work that I am doing is going to make a difference to businesses that we are working and helping them get more value from their  sites.

What has been your most valuable lesson learnt?

Keep it simple.  As with all people I start to get all technical with people at the drop of a hat and I know that I can't stand people who do that to me.  So I guess just knowing this helps me though.

Which are your favourite websites and blogs?

Some sites just blow me away with their original slant on things.  Everyone should have a look at the websites for the Saw movies and Donnie Darko great flash based sites.  I do like imdb as well so much information at just a touch of a button.  I do like hearing what Matt Cutts has got to say on things as let's face we all have to bow down to him in some form

How do you spend your downtime? Where? With who?

Well I have just passed my driving test so when I get my car sorted I going to head down Cornwall at every available chance so that I can go surfing.  One of my true passions in life.  At the moment I am saving for a trip to Japan.  Like everyone I do enjoy the occasional dipple with my mates.  I worship the patch of carpet that my Wii sits on.  That thing is great.

What lifetime ambition have you yet to achieve?

Well I have always wanted to go to Japan so hopefully I will do that soon.   The chance to help a business grow and know I was part of that success.

Tell us one thing that most people don't know about you...

Well some do and some don't but in my younger days I had my tongue pierced.  Also I have always wanted to write a comedy script as well.
