Trovus and the Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) form partnership to deliver web and business intelligence

Trovus, a leading provider in specialist intelligence services based on its website technology that builds profiles of visiting organisations, today announced a new business partnership with the Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) that underlines the importance of web and business intelligence for organisations undertaking digital marketing activities.

As Europe's leading institute for the professional development of direct and digital marketers, the IDM is alert and responsive to emerging digital trends and technologies, and develops best practice training, qualifications and events to keep professionals up to date with the latest effective techniques. As part of an ongoing series of initiatives to consolidate the Institute's position at the forefront of digital marketing, the IDM has chosen Trovus as its specialist partner in developing greater insights into the actions and behaviour of visitors to its website.

Lisa Turner, Marketing Director at the IDM said: "The IDM believes it is vital for organisations to embrace effective digital innovations which enhance the impact and results of their marketing activities. Gaining real in-depth insights into online behaviour through web intelligence is an important capability which will allow more effective engagement with customers and prospects than ever before."

The Partnership between the IDM and Trovus also has important implications for IDM members and customers. Trovus will have the opportunity to actively participate in speaking slots, events and seminars in order to provide the IDM's community with valuable insights into creative ways to build and interpret web intelligence and better engage with clients and prospects.

Trovus's Co-Founder and Director, Caspar Craven, said: "We regard the Partnership with the IDM as a strong and strategic one. It will increase awareness about the importance of web intelligence in the direct marketing equation. At the same time, it will show the IDM's members that new state-of-the-art online approaches can deliver tangible and measureable results that maximize web ROI and provide clear commercial insights into organisations visiting their web sites. And for those adopting these new approaches there are huge opportunities to further drive sales, grow revenue and target their marketing," he added.

Of strategic importance to some direct marketers will be Trovus's outsourcing and Professional Services, which takes on the task of not only gathering web intelligence but also turning it into actionable information for business development and marketing purposes. Trovus works with several organisations to this end, such as Eversheds, ING and WPP.
