Well - have just returned from Lotusphere in Orlando which is IBM's conference for customers and partners for its collaboration software. I must admit I was a little apprehensive about the content - when I worked for IBM Lotus was exclusively (and somewhat obsessively) focused on what seemed to be a doomed struggle between Notes/Domino and Outlook/Exchange.However, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, there were announcements around and a focus on the Notes/Domino platform but the attention was very heavily centred around Web 2.0. Within Trovus I have to be the last and the only person who conciously has to think about using our collaboration suite. We run IBM's quickr and have do some interesting things with it including allowing clients in to have access to wiki's for developing concepts. Our understanding, led mainly by Jon, on driving behaviours and adopt around such tools is really growing. So much if not all the value in such an application is tied to the instinctive usage. This is always undermined by the reverting to type and relying on the substitutes that people know.So it is with...
