So no blogging from me for a week...both of you reading this will I am sure miss me...
Other notable things to round off on. Cisco have played a blinder in our world, well actually Mathew Pickersgill at Cisco has. You see, we have made a tiny mark in the Cisco world and it has taught me a valuable lesson... you could have invented the elixir of youth, but if there is no one to sponsor your cause internally within the Global A list company, you will bounce off their superstructure and get sucked under the hull as they whiz past. Someone in the marketing "radio" department, might just pick up your faint but audible..."No really it is brilliant and it will change the world ...glug glug glug", but you will be in the propellers before you can say "OH". No if you think you have something, find a sponsor. This is person that trusts you first, world changing ideas come second. And if you don't know anyone in the organisation get on FACEBOOK, MySpace or Linked in - you are only 7 conversations away from meeting that person (at worst)...
We did an "open up" session on Friday. It focused on communication between people and with yourself. What did I learn...I met the most sensation man, Ed Percival - if you want sincere, meet Ed and I learnt that Caspar and I unwittingly are communicating pretty well. We clarify assumed statements, we push on each other when there is no clarity and we challenge each other continually. Our session showed us there is a long way to go, but is a good start for amateurs.

the joys of the blackberry on the beach...i think if you are doing something you passionately believe in, it is incredibly difficult to switch off...although as you say the right scenery does make it feel very different.

Once again we seem in some way psychically connected. I was remarking the other day how i need a holiday - despite having been on two so far this year! The only question is though - how much can you let go whilst on holiday? I found i still did a couple of hours a day on holiday - however working in amongst the beautiful French hills or Italian mountains with the sun beating down doesn't tend to feel like work at all! Bon voyage!
